Your fastest route to a shorter time to market? MultiPress!

8 Nov 2022

Is a delivery perfect if you deliver the correct print work to the right address and at the right time? Not anymore for many business-to-business customers: they want more print orders with smaller print runs, faster delivery times, on-demand printing and a zero-stock policy. However, for many print media companies, the logistics do not always work out as planned, which is reflected in the cost: the logistics alone of print work nowadays often amount to more than 20% of the full cost price! How do you prevent or cope with these kinds of transport problems in your print business?

Calculate and plan in one overview

Blog Transportworkflow With the new MultiPress 5.4 update, you perfectly coordinate all aspects of transport calculation, planning and follow-up. Thus, the entire shipment process, including subsequent calculation and invoicing, is contained in a single integrated workflow:

  • Calculation based on the packaging of print products: you can calculate the weight and volume of print orders more precisely and faster. The primary, secondary and tertiary packaging of printed materials can be defined in convenient templates. For example, the number of copies wrapped in foil, the number of packages in a box, and the number of boxes on a pallet can be defined in one template. Using these templates, the order manager can calculate a print shipment very quickly and accurately
  • Also for sign orders: the delivery of large-format print orders can be mapped with templates so you can determine in advance whether the print orders will be transported in tubes, for example, or on pallets of a special format or with unusual dimensions
  • Transport calculation options: simply include your own transport and various external carriers (with their own rates and delivery times) in the calculation. This allows you to make a quick comparison and an informed choice that you can then present to the customer
  • Delivery-based invoicing: create an invoice based on a delivery note. In this way, there is a one-to-one connection between delivery and invoicing. MultiPress now complies with the Intrastat declaration, in which location, weight and shipping method are crucial.

Thanks to the clear transport calculation in MultiPress, you calculate the transport part of each quotation very precisely and have full control and insight into the planning of each delivery.
