Toner de Presse
MultiPress is an asset at digital print business Toner de Presse
Print business Toner de Presse began its journey in the printing industry as a photo engraver and gradually navigated into the digital printing market in the late 1990s. For their day-to-day business operations, they rely on the ERP/MIS software MultiPress. Didier Gilson, owner of Toner de Presse, testifies: "MultiPress drastically reduces the time spent on repetitive administrative tasks. And with the API connectivity module that enables Pressero integration, we found a suitable alternative to our outdated web-to-print solution."
From photo engraving to digital printing
Originally, Toner de Presse was a photo engraver. In the late 1990s, as photoengraving became less important, the company chose to invest in digital printing. Today, Toner de Presse serves only B2B clients, mainly in the banking and insurance sector, the manufacturing industry and communication, retail and event agencies. Toner de Presse has extensive machinery that allows them to produce fully in-house for small and large format, including the finishing process.
The added value of MultiPress
The use of the ERP/MIS software MultiPress offers high added value for Toner de Presse. Didier Gilson, owner of Toner de Presse, confirms: "MultiPress drastically reduces the time spent on repetitive administrative tasks. Moreover, all relevant order information is available in one place with just a few mouse clicks. Over time, MultiPress has evolved into our inseparable companion."
Toner de Presse uses a number of basic modules on a daily basis, such as the Calculation Wizard combined with the Finishing module. "This has allowed us to automate the process of simple quotations and reduce many administration tasks. This saves thousands of clicks a year," says Didier Gilson of Toner de Presse.
During a Dataline webinar, the company also discovered the CO2 calculation module. Didier Gilson explains: "We have always been very sensitive to the environmental aspect of our business activities and believe that the demand for transparency in this area will increase, both within our customer base and in the market in general. This certification will strengthen our position with certain customers."
Multiple B2B websites with Pressero integration
Toner de Presse is betting massively on web-to-print and used the same software solution for many years to do so. Over time, that tool was severely outdated and did not communicate with other systems, causing numerous problems.
"After a reversed experience with customisation by a web agency, we came across Pressero, a web-to-print solution that allows you to create a large number of B2B web shops, and its linking capabilities with MultiPress. We didn't hesitate any longer and immediately implemented the Pressero licence and API connectivity module in MultiPress."
What does the future hold?
The projects Toner de Presse wants to share with MultiPress for the future are mainly in the area of developing links with other players in the printing industry. For this, the API module for this print business seems well suited.
"Our goal in 2023 is to connect our various other software and hardware tools with MultiPress. The API module offers us great prospects for this."
